CloudMP3 is a cloud-based audio player that allows registered users to upload, store, organise and play back their personal music files. We offer a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, why we process it, and what rights you have.
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds:
When you register, we collect your email address, a username and a password. Your password is hashed by Supabase and is never stored in plain text. We also store a user profile containing your user ID, chosen plan (Free or Premium), storage usage and, if applicable, your Stripe customer ID.
Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth. Upon login, two HttpOnly cookies
(ldr_at and ldr_rt) are set to maintain your session. These cookies are
strictly necessary for the service to function and do not require consent. They expire after 30 days.
Audio files and cover images you upload are stored on Hetzner Object Storage (S3-compatible), located in Nuremberg, Germany. Each user's files are stored in an isolated path based on their user ID. Files are only accessible to the authenticated account owner via time-limited pre-signed URLs. No other user can access your files.
Metadata you provide or that is extracted from your files (title, artist, album, genre, year, track number, duration, file size, MIME type) is stored in our Supabase database to enable library browsing and playback.
Free plan: Up to 1 GB storage, 50 tracks, 3 playlists, max. 30 MB per file.
Premium plan: Up to 50 GB storage, unlimited tracks and playlists, max. 200 MB per file.
If you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. (510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA). When you initiate a checkout, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted payment page. We do not collect or store your credit card number or bank details on our servers.
We transmit your email address and user ID to Stripe as metadata. Stripe stores your payment information and provides us with a customer ID and subscription ID, which we store in your profile to manage your subscription status.
Stripe processes data partly in the USA. The transfer is safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). For details, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Our database and authentication service is provided by Supabase, Inc. (970 Toa Payoh North, Singapore). Supabase hosts our project on AWS infrastructure. The data stored includes: user profiles, track metadata, playlists, playlist–track associations, favourites and storage quotas.
Data transfers outside the EU/EEA are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For details, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service operated by Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia, EU). Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. All data is aggregated and no individual visitor profiles are created.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding general usage patterns). For details, see Plausible's Data Policy.
Fonts
This website uses the Outfit typeface, which is hosted locally on our own servers.
No data is transmitted to Google or any third party when loading fonts.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via the "Manage subscription" button in the Premium section of the Service, which redirects you to the Stripe customer portal.
Upon cancellation, your Premium benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. If your stored data exceeds the Free plan limits, you will not be able to upload new files but your existing files will not be deleted immediately. We reserve the right to request that you reduce your storage within 90 days of downgrading.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

You have the right to withdraw from the Premium subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of the conclusion of the contract (i.e. the date you first subscribed to Premium).
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (e.g. an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication concerning the exercise of your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.
If you withdraw from the contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction (refund via Stripe); you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested that the service begins during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount proportional to the services provided up to the point at which you communicated your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if the service has been fully performed and performance began with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the contract had been fully performed. For recurring monthly subscriptions, this applies to each individual billing period once that period's service has been fully provided.
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)
